Elon Musk promised to produce an electric vehicle that would sell for $25,000 in 2024 , but later canceled the idea and said that all vehicles would be autonomous. Tesla will begin production of robotaxi called “Cybercab” in 2025-2026. However, this also leaves questions about the realization of the autonomous driving goals that he previously aimed to offer.

The visionary entrepreneur has announced plans to launch “unattended” FSD (fully autonomous driving) and robotaxi service in California and Texas in 2025. But the regulations and safety standards required for Tesla’s autonomous vehicles make the timing of those goals uncertain.

Musk has announced that Tesla aims to produce thousands of Optimus robots by 2025. These robots could value the company in the trillions of dollars in the future . However, experts believe that autonomous robots will have a hard time developing at the expected pace, which questions Musk’s expectations for the future .
